Students Celebrate National Custodial Workers Day, Oct. 2!
Montebello, CA – October 2, 2014 –Students enrolled in the Creative Brain Afterschool program at several Montebello USD elementary schools (Joseph Gascon, Washington and Montebello Gardens) showed their appreciation to custodial staff by helping custodians throughout the day with keeping the school campus clean, picking up trash, learning more about how each student can better do their share and help keep the campus clean, and presenting the custodial staff with special “Thank You” cards and gifts.
“This was awesome. Thank you so much! It’s really cool that kids become aware of the group effort of keeping the school great. It’s not just my school or your school, it’s all of ours. And we all help keep it
together. Thank you again,” says Jason Castellon, custodian at Washington Elementary School in Montebello, CA.
